On the morning of December 30, 2024, a fire incident occurred in Jiefangbei Subdistrict, Yuzhong District, Chongqing. Upon receiving the emergency call, the Yuzhong District Fire and Rescue Bureau promptly dispatched rescue teams to the scene to commence firefighting operations.

According to the official measurement by the China Earthquake Networks Center, a magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck Longmatan District, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province (29.05°N, 105.38°E) at 17:20 on December 26, 2024, with a focal depth of 8 kilometers. As of now, no casualties or property damage have been reported.
