I. Requirements Analysis
Currently, real-time monitoring is required for various factors affecting power transmission line operations, such as line patrols, external damage prevention, overgrown trees, and construction site tower cranes. However, existing monitoring equipment is relatively expensive. For power supply departments aiming to implement large-scale installations along entire transmission lines, a product featuring high-definition monitoring, pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) omnidirectional surveillance, and affordability is essential. To address this need, our company has developed an Overhead Line Image Video Monitoring Device (Simplified PTZ Camera). This solution offers pan-tilt functionality at a low cost and integrates with internal networks. It resolves the high monitoring expenses faced by power departments, making it cost-effective for large-scale deployment. This device replaces manual transmission line inspections, enabling early detection of safety hazards and ensuring the secure and reliable operation of transmission lines.
II. Working Principle
Image and Video Monitoring Device (Simple PTZ Camera) Primarily designed for basic video surveillance, it comprises a main control unit, communication module, power supply module, simple PTZ camera, and wireless transmission unit. Powered by solar energy and lithium batteries, it utilizes front-end simple PTZ cameras to collect video data. Image/video data is transmitted to the monitoring center via 4G/5G APN networks, enabling real-time monitoring of various conditions affecting power transmission line operations. This includes full-line patrols, prevention of external damage, three-crossing situations, tree overhangs, construction site tower cranes, and vehicles crossing overhead lines, ensuring stable line operation.
