Transmission lines are primarily overhead lines, operating under extremely harsh conditions. In areas with unfavorable geological conditions such as deserts, high-salt soils, mining subsidence areas, and landslide-prone areas, the tower foundations are prone to deformation under the influence of gravity, stress, and natural disturbances. This can lead to tower tilting, or even tower collapse and line breakage, paralyzing power supply lines, severely impacting people's lives and livelihoods, and causing significant losses. Our company's online tower tilt monitoring device can monitor tower tilt in real time, providing timely information on the safety and reliability of operating towers. Based on the trend of tilt monitoring data, it provides timely early warnings in various ways for towers exceeding the tilt standard, guiding inspection and maintenance, and reminding operation and maintenance personnel to reinforce the foundation to prevent tower collapse accidents.
II. Working Principle
The main unit of the online monitoring device for transmission line tower tilt collects line data such as the longitudinal tilt angle, lateral tilt angle, and combined tilt angle of the towers from tilt sensors. After digital compression and encoding, the data is transmitted to the monitoring center via 4G/5G/WIFI wireless networks and the power grid. The monitoring center decodes the data signals and displays the tower tilt data intuitively on the screen in digital and graphical form. The monitoring center can browse and observe the on-site situation of each monitoring point in real time through the data monitoring client. Maintenance personnel analyze the tower tilt data sent from the field. If abnormal warning information is detected, appropriate emergency measures are taken immediately to ensure the safe operation of the high-voltage line.
III. Functional Features
1. Basic Configuration for Pole Tilting Monitoring: Main control unit, pole tilt monitoring unit, communication unit, power supply unit, mounting bracket, and auxiliary materials;
2. Real-time acquisition of pole tilt angle data (both longitudinal and lateral), and simultaneous acquisition of power supply voltage, power percentage, and other parameters characterizing power performance;
3. Ability to acquire communication signal strength at the monitoring device's location;
4. Data acquisition methods: Automatic and controlled acquisition modes;
5. Data acquisition interval: Can be set according to the characteristics of the acquired parameters and user needs; the minimum data acquisition interval can be set to 5 minutes, with a default interval of 30 minutes;
6. Ability to correctly record and store real-time monitoring data, and correctly establish event identifiers in case of device malfunctions; the monitoring device can store at least 90 consecutive days of monitoring data or data not uploaded by the main station due to communication issues;
7. Guarantee of data security: Recorded dynamic data will not be lost due to power outages, rapid or slow fluctuations, or drops; dynamic data will not be deleted due to external access; manual deletion and modification of dynamic data are not allowed; recorded information will not be lost or erased.
8. Features automatic alarm functions for monitoring function failures and communication interruptions; includes alarms for data exceeding limits and device malfunctions, with configurable alarm thresholds for equipment status parameters;
9. Alarm information can distinguish between various types of abnormalities, including monitoring data and device self-test anomalies;
10. Alarm information is transmitted remotely in real time, and alarm strategy settings are modifiable;
11. The power supply unit generally includes an energy acquisition unit, battery, and controller; it features automatic float charging, overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, overcurrent protection, and temperature compensation;
12. The power module is equipped with an independent charge/discharge controller, and the nominal voltage of the power module is DC+12V;
13. Under continuous conditions of no light and no other power supply, the battery can maintain the normal operation of the monitoring device for at least 15 days.
