Currently, real-time monitoring is required for various factors affecting power transmission line operations, including line patrols, external damage prevention, overgrown trees, and construction site tower cranes. There is a high demand for solutions that utilize front-end AI processors to accurately identify various mechanical vehicles, external damage, wildfires, and suspended foreign objects, while promptly capturing photos and videos to alert the monitoring center for timely handling of anomalies. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a cost-effective, signal-independent Beidou-enabled intelligent monitoring and recording device that meets the above requirements. This device should be suitable for large-scale deployment to replace manual transmission line inspections, enabling early detection of safety hazards and ensuring the secure and reliable operation of transmission lines.
II. Working Principle
The Beidou Smart Surveillance Device operates primarily through video monitoring and comprises a main control unit, image monitoring unit, communication unit, power supply unit, mounting bracket, and auxiliary materials. Powered by solar energy and lithium batteries, it employs AI processors and image sensors to monitor transmission corridor conditions. Image data is transmitted to the monitoring center via 4G/5G/WiFi wireless networks. The monitoring platform decodes, processes, analyzes, diagnoses, and displays the image signals, enabling visual monitoring of transmission corridors and ensuring stable line operation.
